ARMEN’S PICKS

I have for you here one of the most desirable watches in existence. The Patek Philippe “PP” Nautilus 5711r. The Nautilus has one of the richest histories in the watch world and has become even more desirable than ever. The Nautilus was originally designed by the famous Gerarld Genta and launched in 1972 who also designed the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak which also launched in 1972. Both iconic watches till this day.

The 5711r that I have on my wrist displays the 1970’s vibe with its squarish rounded edged frame. This watch is the perfect dressy sport watch in the market today which is why it appeals to such a wide age group of buyers. The rose gold case and bezel accent the brownish slate dial giving it a flavorful wear to it, yes you read it right “flavorful”. The alligator strap can be switched to the swim strap offered by PP or ones made by @rubberb which add a variety of wear for any given setting. The push button double sided clasp adjusts properly providing a perfect fit for my 6 ½ wrists or on my brothers 7 ½ wrists.

The 5711r is no longer in production and was retired sometime near 2010. What makes our 5711r even more special is that the watch has never been worn other than for its use in our pictures and came from our client who has been hoarding PP watches for over 30 years. All the details can be found in the link below and other rare Patek Philippe’s @previouslyenjoyed.

Joining our inventory this month is the Rolex Yachtmaster II. First introduced in 2008 this watch till this day is one of the most complicated Rolex watches ever made. First time ever where a programmable countdown timer with a mechanical memory in a wristwatch. This watch was specifically designed for the starting sequence of a yacht race, which thanks to the introduction of this watch I learned a whole lot about the Regatta sport.

Classified as a Regatta Chronograph, the all new Rolex movement caliber 4161 was the first ever mechanical watch which could be programmed for the countdown sequence between 1 and 10 minutes. This can be done so with the 90 degree rotatable ceramic (Cerachrom) bezel to set your desired minute. One of the largest Rolex watches ever to be put into production at the time. The 44mm case is ideal for a man with seven inch wrists or larger but still works for mine.

Nothing but praise for this watch. The design of the case with its curved lugs that support this giant watch to sit properly on the wrist. The bracelet and clasp provide a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist. It's easy link extension offers a great adjustment that can be done on the fly. The color combination between the Everose gold, stainless steel, white dial and blue ceramic bezel creates a spirit and feel as if I were on my yacht navigating the Adriatic. This watch retails for $25,350 but available @previouslyenjoyed for $22,350.
