Chanel 1932 Art Deco J1673 Very Rare! Chanel Founded in 1910 by the legendary Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel, the Chanel brand is an icon in the world of haute couture. Their "1932" line of art deco watches are reminiscent of the Modernist Bauhaus era of design, with its clean, bold lines. Next, the watchcases are set and the dials paved with gemstones. Every possible surface of the watch is adorned with diamonds until the entire timepiece shimmers with light. It is here that CHANEL treats the ceramic, a precious material in its own right, with the same attention it bestows on precious gemstones. Cut and faceted in the same manner as priceless diamonds, the tiny ingots of ceramic come alive in the setting workshop in La Chaux – de-Fonds, to take on a new sparkle, one that is distinguished and mysterious. Great artistry is achieved through traditional know-how; however the heritage always remains at Place Vendome, where CHANEL has established its new watch making and fine jewelry activity.
